Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home is the oldest funeral establishment in Arizona and the oldest continuous business in the city of Prescott.

Our quality of service is the same for every family we serve.

The great writer, Oscar Wilde, spoke of the person who "knows the price of everything and the value of nothing."  We realize that anything can be made "cheaper", but we believe that people are more interested in obtaining solid value.  This belief is affirmed by nearly 100% of the families who returned an after-service survey to us and said they would recommend us to others.  At Wakelin Family Funeral Homes, we focus on being moderately priced while continually striving to deserve our reputation for "being superior by far."

Since it is not always possible for families to have everything they want said about their loved one written in the local newspaper, we are offering an
obituaries page on our Website.  We are also including a page about the rich history of our funeral home.  Our funeral home offers group bereavement counseling to the families we serve, and we have included a page about "New Beginnings Foundation", the name we have given our bereavement services.  Please read about our Pre-arrangement  Department and how we can help you plan ahead to help your family during a very stressful time.
