Anita Mae Johnson

Anita Mae Johnson died on March 24, 2008 in her home in Prescott.  She was born April 25, 1927 in Waterbury, Connecticut, to Clinton and Anita (Pelletier) Herman. Anita was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Prescott.  She attended many classes at the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at Yavapai College.  She enjoyed swimming and being outdoors in the Prescott area.  She was also a great seamstress and writer, penning her personal history. Anita is survived by her children Suzanne Gail Johnson of Prescott, Daniel Bruce (Mary Lee) Johnson of Gig Harbor, Washington, and Byron Lee (Colette) Johnson of Cedar Crest, New Mexico; grandchildren Brianna, Kyle, Tyler, Evan, Joshua, Jessica, Ezra, Anna, Claire and Alexis; 10 great grandchildren; sister Barbara (Ralph) Swift of Prescott Valley.  She will be greatly missed. Virginia is preceded in death by her husband, Melvin Peter Johnson; a brother Timothy Johnson; a sister Marjorie (Curtis) Gibbs.
