Betty Langston

Betty Langston, 90, entered into her heavenly home on January 3, 2017, in Prescott Valley, Arizona.

She was born on March 2, 1926 in San Pedro, California, where she lived for most of her life. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ernest and Emily Dollar, her infant brother, Ernest Dollar, her husband of 54 years, Alton Langston, and her sister and best friend, Margaret Cavnar (Wesley). After retiring in 1977, Betty and her husband Al moved to Pauls Valley, Oklahoma where they lived out their dream of owning and operating the Peavine Cattle Ranch until Al's passing in 1999. In 2008, she moved to Prescott Valley, Arizona to be near her children and grandchildren for the remainder of her life. She is survived by her son, James Langston (Marilyn), daughter, Diane Coleman (Michael), grandsons, Tim Coleman (Monica), Tyler Langston (Alexa), Reed Langston, granddaughter, Dena Mendes (Richard), 7 great-grandchildren, Kayla, Cheyanne, Jayden, Ava, Emma, Brody and Cooper, and 2 great-great-grandchildren, Shane and Julian. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, January 14 at 2:00pm, Ruffner-Wakelin Chapel, 303 S. Cortez St., Prescott, AZ 86303. Interment will follow in the spring where she will be laid to rest with her husband, her parents, and her sister and brother-in-law in Purcell, Oklahoma.
