REMEMBERING A LIFE WELL LIVEDWILLIAM “BILL” MANDEVILLE, 82

William Roger Mandeville, 82, a resident of Prescott Valley, Arizona, traded his Earthly home for Heaven on Sunday, July 5th, 2020 at the Yavapai Regional Medical Center’s East Campus. Born in North Olmstead, Ohio as the only child of William David Mandeville and Jesse Ona McClenaghen, he lived a quiet life of kind, loving support for all of his Family and friends.

Bill was a humble, behind-the-scenes man, who loved blue skies, “high country” mountain views, studying his well-worn Bible and listening to Southern Gospel music. Especially when his dog Rosie was curled up on his lap, with a cup of coffee nearby. He enjoyed woodworking, carpentry, stained glass work, and vintage trains of all kinds. His career as a truck driver at Consolidated Freightways was rewarded for more than four million safely driven miles, a distance equal to roughly 160 trips around the Earth. In his spare time, Bill also enjoyed learning new words each day on FreeDictionary.com, cutting up with Family or friends, and exploring the endless supply of DIY woodworking shows he had discovered on YouTube.

Bill was extremely proud of, and humbled by, the life and Family that God had blessed him with. Of the thirteen children who came into his life through marriage, adoption and the blending of families. Of the 45 grandchildren, 47 great grandchildren and 3 great-great grandchildren whose lives were impacted by his faithfulness and godly example for them to follow. A man of quiet strength and devotion to daily prayer for his family, he is survived by his wife and best friend, Colleen (Connolly) Mandeville; as well as a large circle of Family and loving friends who will miss him deeply.

William’s life will be celebrated by a gathering of Family and friends on Saturday, August 8, 2020 from 1:00 until 2:00 PM at Lifepointe Church 10100 Arizona 69, Prescott Valley, Arizona 86314. Unfortunately, due to COVID-19 concerns, there will be no reception after the service.
