Charles Ashley Johnson

Charles "Chuck" Ashley Johnson Born in 1926 in Glenrio, New Mexico, Charles Ashley Johnson was a true westerner, living in over seven western states during his lifetime, and was an Arizonan for more than 70 years.  He was a founding member of several Churches of Christ and followed in his father's footsteps, preaching at several congregations throughout Arizona.  For 42 years Chuck was an active member of Desert Chapel Church of Christ.  Chuck was an avid enthusiast of historical aviation, and classical and liturgical music.  His gifts included a beautiful singing voice, sensitive heart, quick wit, love of wordplay and writing.  Chuck's greatest loves included his wife of over 47 years, Jo Ann Johnson, his daughter Anne Johnson and her husband Scott Loe, and his adored grandson, Jasper.  Chuck died the morning of September 14, 2016 in Prescott, Arizona.  Instead of flowers, the family requests memorial gifts to ChristianReliefFund.org, an international children's charity.
