David 'Irish' Mclaughlin

David W. McLaughlin (Irish) passed away September 3, 2010 peacefully at home, surrounded by his wife Ellie and dear friends.
He retired from Delaware River and Bay Authority after 33 years of service. He and his wife Ellie moved from Wilmington, DE to make their home in Prescott Valley, AZ, late December 2007. David enjoyed nature expeditions, hunting, fishing, wood working, candy making and playing Santa. Irish was a dedicated Notre Dame and John Wayne fan. He will be remembered by his many friends for his magnetic and humorous personality. He could make you feel good on your worst day. He was an active member of the Elks, Moose, Eagles and the American Legion.
Irish was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Margaret McLaughlin, brother, Paul McLaughlin and his twin sister Barbara Lattomus. He is survived by his wife Ellie of 31 years, brother Eugene (Elizabeth) McLaughlin of LA. nephews; Paul, Shawn, David and Joshua, nieces; Theresa, Barbara, and Kristan, and great nephews and nieces.
Daves family would like to extend their thanks to our dear friends and to hospice family care. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations to American cancer society, hospice family care or national wildlife federation.
