Diane Dunmire

Diane Kay Dunmire, 64, of Prescott, Arizona, passed away peacefully on Friday, September 22, 2017.  Diane’s final act of kindness was to give the gift of life through organ and tissue donation.

Diane was born on October 2, 1952 in Kansas City, Missouri to Joseph and Marion Dunmire.  Her family moved from Kansas to Phoenix, Arizona, where she graduated from Arcadia High School in 1970. A remarkable artist from a young age, Diane went on to study art at both NAU and ASU, and was an active member of the Gamma Phi Beta sorority.  She married in 1974 and was a devoted mother to her two children Brodie and Mandi.

Diane had a wonderful artistic talent and personality and enjoyed expressing it through calligraphy, pointillism and her writing. She often attended art shows, where she sold her pieces and her work would make people laugh. She also had her father’s green thumb and loved gardening, which you could see both outside and inside her home.  Diane very much enjoyed the time she spent with her grandchildren.  She was a devoted Christian and a member of the American Lutheran Church in Prescott.  Diane’s smile, laugh and zest for life will be deeply missed by all her many friends and family.

She is survived by her mother, Marion; her two children, Brodie (Melanie) Bergeson and Mandi (Dave) Wright; her grandchildren, Cody, Austin, Olen, Bowen, and Cali; her two sisters, Jodi (Ken) Saber and Rebecca (Bob) Vandenberg; as well as many aunts, uncles and nieces.  She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Dunmire and her brother, Brad Dunmire.

In lieu of flower arrangements, the family requests memorial donations be sent to Prescott Meals on Wheels (1280 E. Rosser Street Prescott, AZ 86301 or at www.prescottmealsonwheels.com) or to American Lutheran Church in Prescott (1085 Scott Drive Prescott, AZ 86301).
