Evelyn I. Berkey

Evelyn I. Berkey died Monday, December 6, 2004.  She was born June 16, 1922, in Johnstown, PA, the daughter of Charles and Prudence (Umberger) Hoffman.  Evelyn was 82 years old.   She retired after 25 years from Switzer?s in downtown Phoenix.  Evelyn, with her beloved husband of 63 years, Harry, spent their final years enjoying their home and the community of Prescott Valley, AZ.  Harry preceded her in death on February 28, 2004.   The family wishes to express their gratitude to Theresa Brunick, an angel of a caregiver to Evelyn.   Evelyn is survived by her daughter, Judith Wilson, of Phoenix; son, Wayne Berkey of Woodstock, GA; 3 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.  Services will be 11:00 a.m. December 15, 2004 at the National Cemetery of Arizona, 23029 N. Cave Creek Rd. Phoenix, Arizona
