Fern Alfred went home peacefully to be with her Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ at her Senior

Living Facility in Prescott AZ, on September 17th 2022. Fern was preceded in death by her

mother Geneva Simmons, her father Harold Simmons,and her husband, Herman D Alfred (Sept

10th 2001). They were married for 55 years.

Her wit, humor and pleasant personality was with her to the end.

Her short term memory was a challenge, yet she would entertain you with stories and memories

of family and the good old days

She is survived by her six children, David (wife Elaine), Cottonwood AZ, Harry (wife Marta),

Chino Valley AZ, Raymond (wife Bonnie) Prescott AZ, Diana Jackson, Ridgecrest CA, Joyce

Williams( her partner, Dan ) Albq, NM, Gail Alfred, Albq, NM. Her 10 Grandchildren; Darren

Alfred, ID, Derrick Alfred, CA. Stefanie Rossi, CA., Jon Alfred, AZ, Lucas Alfred, UT, Mark Alfred

MO, Sandy Beasley, CA., Michelle Haslip, OK, Donna Jackson, NV, Chris Vincent CA..

Nineteen great-grandchildren and Four great-great-grandchildren.

Fern was a loving and caring mother. She was known as GG to her grandchildren, loving them

every day. Fern was from humble beginnings, yet provided a wealthy life for her family with love

and hard work. She was a great historian of the Alfred and Fletcher family, leaving 100s of

handwritten pages of our family history, and photo journals to cherish those memories forever.

Raised in the 1930’s, on a small farm in Iowa, by her grandparents, and single Mother.

They taught her to value and appreciate what you have and only to want the love of family.

Those values she has passed on to her family and many friends through the years.

She will be reunited with her husband at Hillcrest Memorial Mortuary in Bakersfield, California

where a Memorial and a Celebration of her wonderful life will be held in the near future.
