Francis Joseph Pachel

Francis “Frank” Pachel was born June 26, 1937 in Two Inlets, Minnesota. He graduated from Park Rapids High School in 1955 and enlisted in the United States Navy in October 1955. He married Mildred Hoffman April 21, 1956 at Saint Mary’s Catholic Church in Two Inlets and they enjoyed the many places stateside and overseas that his Navy career took them. He and Mildred have two children, 4 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. 

Frank became an electronics technician and spent several months overseas during the Vietnam War as part of the Blue Water Pacific Fleet. He retired from his Navy career as Chief E-8, Electronics Technician, from Naval Air Station, El Centro, California, and moved to Prescott, Arizona in January 1979. Frank earned his Associate Degree from Yavapai College in 1987. 

Frank was religiously devoted and patriotically proud to serve his church and community in the Knights of Columbus. He served as G.K. of Council 1032, SH Parish. During his first year as Grand Knight he received the states award for Grand Knight of the year, which of course he attributed to the Brotherhood of Knights Council 1032. Frank also served as Faithful Navigator of Bishop Green Council and was later appointed as District Deputy. He served in the Honor Guard at the funeral services for his Brother Knights with devotion and great respect. Frank also served as a Eucharistic Minister for several years and spent many hours in Adoration of the Chapel at SH Church. 

Frank was a devoted husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather who loved spending time with family and he will be sorely missed by all.
