Gary Edwin Flann

Our beloved husband, father, brother, grandfather, and uncle, Gary Flann (80 of Prescott, AZ), passed away on July 28, 2021.  Gary grew up in Albert Lea, Minnesota. Gary earned his chemistry degree and spent a significant part of his career in the wastewater industry, culminating as the President of Zimmer and Francescon in Moline, IL.  Gary loved fishing with Elaina and spent his free time at numerous lakes in Minnesota and Canada chasing the next big fish. He loved hot rods and doing anything with his hands, whether it was tinkering with automobiles or woodworking, the garage was his happy and creative place. He was compassionate, patient, generous, detail-oriented, a thinker and a lifelong Catholic devoted to the Lord; all of which enabled him to be fruitful throughout his life. People who know him best would say he had a quiet and peaceful presence. We lost an unbelievable man, but his impact on others and love for his wife, family and friends will endure forever.Gary was born January 28, 1941 and is survived by his wife Elaina Flann of Prescott AZ; brother Jim Flann of Port Haywood, VA; daughter Michelle (Jeff) Mank of Kansas City KS; son Steve (Carrie) Flann Urbandale IA; granddaughter Christianna Herron; grandsons Blaise Mank and Saul and Isaac Flann; and step granddaughter and grandsons Malorie and Daniel Mank and numerous nieces and nephews.Gary was preceded in death by his parents Clifford and Mary Flann, brother Jack Flann, and son Shane Flann.
