George B. Hickok

George B. Hickok died on April 28, 2008, in Prescott, Ariz.  He was 86. George was born July 21, 1921, in Clovis, N.M.  He married Mary Catherine Mollohan  May 21, 1943.  In World War II George served as an officer in the U.S. Infantry in Northern France, Central Europe and the Rhineland.  He was awarded a Bronze Star Medal and a Purple Heart.  After the war, George earned a B.S. degree from Wichita State Univ. and began his career as a petroleum geologist.  He retired from Exxon Corp. in 1986 and moved to Prescott in 1987. George enjoyed walking his dog Molly and seeing many friends around the Yavapai County Court House every day. George is survived by his brother Robert Hickok of Irvine, Calif.; his three children, Kathy Hickok of Ames, IA; Michael Hickok and his wife Linda Doebel of Los Angeles, Calif; and Lisa (Hickok) Stoiber and her husband Randy of Denver, Colo.  He also leaves five grandchildren, Monte, Kristabel, David, Anne and Lindsay Grace. George was preceded in death by his wife Mary in August, 2007.
