George Bill Anderson Jr.

G. Willaim ?Bill? Anderson, Jr. died on Oct. 1 2008 in Prescott AZ.  He was born on Dec. 10, 1913 in White Plains NY to George William & Virginia Marshall Brown Anderson.      Bill attented Trinity-Pawling School in Pawling NY of which his father was a Master & co-founder.  He graduated from the University of IL with a degree in journalism.  He joined the US Air Force during WWII and became a lieutenant.  He worked for CBS Radio in Hollywood as Executive Manager of ?Your Hit Parade? and ?Lux Presents Hollywood.? Later, in Chicago and NY City, he worked as an account executive for a number of advertising agencies.      It was in NY City that Bill met his wife of 54 years, Gloria Shearer Anderson. They were married at the Park Ave Methodist Church on Feb 11 1954.  The following year, their only child, Cynthia, was born. After moving to Greenwich CT, Bill joined Continental Baking as their creative director.      Upon retirement, Bill & Gloria moved to New Milford CT and Bill pursued his love of golf at the Winged Foot golf Club, the Millbrook Club and the Lake Waramug Country Club.  They later moved to Southern CA to be near their daughter & son-in-law, Cynthia & Robert ?Lynn? Pedigo. Three years ago they moved to Prescott and were joined here in Dec of 2007 by Cynthia & Lynn.      Bill was an enthusiastic sports fan, active alumnus of Trinity-Pawling School, and was a true New Englander at heart. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife, Gloria, daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia & Lynn, all of Prescott.      A private service will be held at a later date.
