James Jim Huff Sr

James ?Jim? Huff, Sr.,  78, died Monday, September 5, 2005 at Yavapai Regional Medical Center in Prescott, Arizona. He was born October 28, 1926 in Decatur, Illinois; the son of Walter and Isabelle (Wilkinson) Huff. Jim served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and was honorably discharged. He met and later married the love of his life; Elizabeth Keane on October 4, 1947, the couple shared 57 years together. Jim worked for the United States Postal Service for 30 years and retired having moved from California to Prescott over 18 years ago. Jim was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church and participated in there ?Fun Bunch?. He enjoyed bowling, serving for several years as league president while his wife was secretary. He very much enjoyed the many trips to Laughlin and Las Vegas and spent countless hours serving his community by delivering Meals on Wheels. Jim was proud of his family and his service to his country. Jim is survived by his loving wife Elizabeth of Prescott, his children and their spouses; Susan Coyle of Fresno, CA, James (Kathryn) Huff of Tracy, CA, Martin (Nessie) Huff of Simi Valley, CA, Walter ?Larry? (Esther) Huff of Tolleson, AZ, Catherine White of San Jose, CA, Richard (Jennifer) Huff of Phoenix, AZ, Cynthia (Paul) Zive of Fountain Valley, CA, Diane (Peter) Jackson of Whittier, CA, Roger Huff of Whittier, CA, Judy (Mark) Wilkinson of Portland, OR. Jim is also survived by his brother; Bill Huff of Tucson, AZ, 29 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Jim was preceded in death by his parents, Jerry Huff and his daughter Peggy Huff. Visitation will be held Thursday, September 8th from 5 to 7 p.m. with a Scripture Rosary at 7 p.m. at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, corner of Cortez and Carleton Streets in Prescott. A Funeral Mass will be said 11:00 a.m. Friday, September 9th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 140 N. Fleury St. in Prescott with Rev. Richard De Tore, C.M.F. presiding. A private cremation will follow at Bradshaw Crematory in Prescott Valley. Family suggests contributions be made in Jim?s name to Meals on Wheels, 335 E. Aubrey St., Prescott, AZ  86303.
