Jeanette Stiles

Jeanette Stiles, 81, a resident of Prescott, AZ since 1992, passed away Feb. 21, 2016 at New Horizons Adult Care Home in Prescott Valley. She was born to the late V. A. & Helen Schmidt on March 27, 1934 in Alton, Ill. After finishing high school she moved to Santa Monica, CA where she met and married William (Bill) Stiles.

Jeanette is survived by siblings Bud (Shirley) Schmidt, Robert (Glenda) Schmidt, Jane (Michael) Yanis, and Paul (Linda) Schmidt and sister-in-law Vera Stewart, along with numerous nieces and nephews and great-nieces and nephews.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her beloved husband Bill Stiles and their only child Theresa Stiles, and two brothers Kenneth Schmidt and Thomas Schmidt.

She was an accomplished seamstress and completed many beautiful needlepoint/craft projects. Jeanette really loved to bake cookies, especially at Christmas time. She also enjoyed teaching Sunday school and singing in various choirs at Missouri Synod Lutheran Churches where she and Bill were members.

No finer sister could a brother have, or a husband or daughter, sister, sister-in-law, brother-in-law, cousins, nieces, nephews, or close friends! She will be missed until our lives end, and we are then remembered too, as is she. She gave much love and respect to her husband Bill Stiles and daughter Theresa, until their unexpected short lives ended, leaving her in deep sorrow until her last breath on 2/21/2016. May she rest in peace. 

A graveside committal service in Greenwood Cemetery, Grand Rapids, MI will be held sometime this summer.
