John Lloyd Dawson

John Lloyd Dawson, 87, died on Monday, Oct. 6, 2008, at the VA Hospice Unit in Prescott.  Born on July 22, 1921, in Manchester, NH, he was the son of the late John and Mildred (Haskel) Dawson.   John was a member of the Elks Lodge, the Eagles in OH, and Unity Church in Mesa AZ.  He loved traveling and bowling, and was an avid sports fan who could rattle off statistics for almost any sport.  He was a very spiritual person, and was most proud of his children.    John is survived by his children Debby (Ron) Smith, Tom (Marilyn) Dawson, Bruce (Karen) Dawson, Dona (Ralph) Stant, John L. (Elaine) Dawson; step-daughters, Cayce Shestko, and Roxanna Shestko-Sepulveda; 13 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren; brother, Bruce (Pat) Dawson.  He is preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Lucy Dawson; brothers, James, Richard, and Bud Dawson.  He will be greatly missed.
