June Mitchell

June Mitchell, 73, of Chino Valley, passed away 11-10-2005 after a short battle with cancer. She was born in Bridgeport, Ct. on May 15, 1932 to Dutch immigrants. She moved to Phoenix, Az. in the 1940's. There she met and married the love of her life Victor Mitchell who preceded her in death 4yrs. ago. Besides being a loving mother and wife she was also very involved in the Catholic church. She was a member of St. Agnes Church in Phx. where she sang in the choir for 10 yrs. In Chino Valley she became a lector and an eucheristic minister at St. Catherines Laboure. Her interests included, sewing, gardening, bird watching and her substantial collection of anything delft. She was the mother of 10 children: Michael (Sue), Kathy, Mark (Eileen), Debby (Wayne), Becky (James), Paul (Jen), David (Tina), Julie, Vicky, also a son Beanie who preceded her in death 23 yrs. ago. She was grandma to 18 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren. We will miss you mom but we know you have found peace in Heaven with daddy. A memorial service and Mass will be held Wednesday 11-16 at 11:00 at St. Catherine Laboure 2062 N. Highway 89, Chino Valley, Az. Donations can be made to Hospice Family Care, 100 E.
