Loren Lee 'Cap' Varvais

Loren Lee \"CAP\" Varvais passed away peacefully September 28, 2011 at the Veterans Hospital, Prescott AZ. Cap was born in Sioux City Iowa February 24, 1928. A true patriot and eager to serve his country he joined the marine corp. in 1947 and served with distinction for 5 years. After a medical discharge he moved to CA where he married Janet Arner and they raised two children, Douglas and Diana. Cap remarried Bonnie Ritter in 1987 and moved to Prescott Valley in 1990 where he resided the remainder of his life. Many will remember Cap as an avid billiard player and in his later years he and Bonnie loved to travel in their motorhome. He is survived by his wife Bonnie, children Doug and Diana, their 8 children and his 3 great grandchildren.He has two surviving sisters, Marilyn and Vivian and a brother Jim. He was proceeded in death by brothers Denzil, Tom and sister Yvonne. \" Papa Cap\" will also be greatly missed by his 3 stepdaughters, 3 stepsons and their children.

Cemetery:
Burial will be private at the National Memorial Cemetery of AZ, Cave Creek, AZ.

Service:
Celebration of Cap\'s life with full military honors will be 10am, Thursday, October 6, 2011 at Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home, 303 South Cortez St, Prescott, AZ. There will be a reception immediately following services at the American Legion Post 6, Prescott, AZ.
