Neil S. Fitch

Neil S. Fitch, was born November 26, 1922, in Fulton, New York.  He died December 12, 2004, in Prescott, AZ.   Neil was the cherished and beloved husband of Laura W. Fitch who was privileged to share his life for a wonderful 38 years. He was the dear father of Carol Walker of Los Angeles, Ron Fitch of Citrus Heights, California, Mark Fitch of San Diego, California, and Philip Fitch of Citrus Heights, California.  He is also survived by 7 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren, and was a dear brother of Leon Fitch of Red Creek, New York, Alan Fitch of Marcellus,  New York,  Hollis Fitch of North Syracuse, New York, and Jean Haag of Syracuse.  And is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.  He was a dear son-in-law of Mrs. Rauni O. Winters of Glendale, Wisconsin, a brother-in-law of Sally & Michael Noonan of Whitefish Bay, Wisconsin, and and uncle of Les May of Big Sur, California.  Lastly, he was a dear friend of his little Shih-Tzu companion, Max.   Neil will be dearly missed by all.   He loved a good joke and having fun.  He particularly enjoyed butchering wood and making sawdust (as he said) and spending time traveling with his wife.   He was a retiree of Wells Fargo Bank in California but followed that with two other careers; having an antique store and owning a Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream store.  Neil and his wife, Laura, have been residents of Prescott for the last 5 years.  They have previously lived in Las Vegas, NY, Albuquerque, NM and Tucson, AZ.   Neil was most proud of being an American and loved this country very much.  He served in the U.S. Navy in the Pacific Theater WWII and felt that it was an honor to have served.  He was also very proud to be a member of the Sons of the American Revolution.  His ancestors came to this country in 1636 and founded the towns of Norwich and Lebanon, CT.   At Neil?s request, no services were held and he was cremated.
