Orville Ray Peevey

Orville Ray Peevey passed away on Feb. 12, 2014, in Prescott Valley, Ariz. He was born in Oklahoma on Feb. 20, 1924. He was a Pearl Harbor survivor in the U.S. Navy. Mr. Peevey retired from Kennecott Copper Corp after 25 years of service. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Faye, in 1980, after 36 years of marriage. Survivors include one son, Melvin Sonny and wife Connie, of Aztec, N.M., and their son, Justin; daughter Donna Taylor and husband Lloyd of Silver City and their son Doug; and daughter Karen Littlefield and her two sons Shane and Troy Townsend. He was also preceded in death by his second wife of 30 years Larree Peevey. There are two stepchildren, Pat Bates and Lon Austin, with three grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren who loved him very much and will miss him greatly.
