Perry W. Thomas, of Chino Valley, died January 6, 2005, at Bob Stump VA Medical Center in Prescot, Arizona. He was born December 30, 1929, in Phoenix, the son of Alexander W. and Beatrice B.(Perry) Thomas. Perry was 75 years old. Perry proudly served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean Conflict. He retired from YRMC in the engineering department. Perry was a member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Disabled American Veterans, and a very active member of the Yavapai Jeep Posse. He just recently turned in his badge and retired from the Posse. He was very proud of his service to his community through his volunteer work; his service to his country in the Navy, and his family. Perry is survived by his loving wife of almost 48 years, Dionne; his sons; Dean (Krystal) of Chino Valley, Reed (Kristi) of Fontana, CA.; daughters Penny (Brian) Davis of Saugus, CA; and Nancy (Eldon) Staggs of Buckeye, AZ.; "brother", Darold (Margie) Klauk of Lexington S.C., and 12 grandchildren. The Funeral Mass will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, January 10, 2005, at the VA Chapel 500 N. Hwy 89, with a visitation one hour prior. Full military honors will be by the Honor Detail of American Legion Post # 6. Burial will be at the National Cemetery of Arizona. Any donations should be made to Disabled American Veterans, 500 N.
