Richard Anthony Marzejon

Richard Anthony Marzejon (Richie) grew up in Detroit Michigan with a large family of 7 by a single mother, Josephine Ewald Hotchkiss. Richard never knew his own father; he died a few months before he was born. They were poor and struggled. Richard went to work early to help the family. His brother Buddy was killed by a gun on the streets of Detroit when he was quite young. He married young to Yvonne Davis and had 3 children, Tony, Rita, & Phyllis. He was a sheet metal worker who retired early due to heart conditions.

He is survived by his brother Jimmy Hotchkiss, wife June and sister Margie Hotchkiss. He remarried to Liz Benson and survived by her children and grandchildren Debbie Yuchasz and deceased stepson Ronald Benson. Survived by Ronald's children Shana Benson and her kids Adreyona Gile, Camden Spencer, Bailey Spencer. Brittany Lillis and her husband John Lillis and their kids, John (JJ), Vestina and Raiden Lillis. Whitney Parker and her husband Tony Parker and their son Lucas Parker. Eric Yuchasz and his wife Niki Yuchasz.  Also survived by Tony, Rita and her husband Steve, and Phyllis. Rita's children Raquel, Benton and Phyllis's children Nicole and her husband Paul, Destiny and his great grandchildren from Raquel, Leia, Lennox, and Nicole's and Paul's newest daughter Mackenzie.

When you think of Richard, you remember laughter. He had many illnesses but was always smiling and laughing. It's probably what kept him young for so long. He loved movies and all sports, especially football and baseball and encouraged sports to his children. He complained about the Detroit Lions every year but always hoped and prayed that they would win and never missed a Sunday game. He also loved the slot machines in Vegas or any other Casino! He lived with his son Tony and daughter Phyllis who kept real good care of him at the end of his life. He was loved by so many and will never be forgotten. He liked to pray for everyone and did often. He grew up Catholic and insisted we go to Catholic school when married to Yvonne. He loved to play pinocle with the kids and taught most of them at quite a young age. Swimming at his house was always fun.  He loved to wrestle with the kids when they were younger until they were all exhausted. Sundays were his favorite day to get together, and he loved to eat and would always come over for a meal. He loved to go out to dinner and loved when you accompanied him.  He loved to watch old John Wayne movies and all of the 007 movies and loved to go to the movie theatre with the kids when they were young. We would stop at the candy store first to save money on snacks lol.

We know he is looking down on us in heaven and watching over all of us with his late wife Liz and his parents and all of his siblings he lost.... peaceful and out of pain....

He was loved by many and will be missed every day!
