Richard Vincent Kearns

Richard Kearns, age 80, passed away peacefully October 14, 2008.  Born and raised in New York, Richard enlisted in the Marines at age 17, serving his country in China.      For the next ten years, Richard worked in Saudi Arabia for ARAMCO Oil Company, where he pursued his love of world travel. He returned to New York, bought and ran an insurance agency, which bore his name for the next 30 years.   Richard retired to Prescott 17 years ago.  He was a long time member of and past captain of the Yavapai County Sheriff?s Jeep Posse.  And he considered one his proudest accomplishments assisting a first grade teacher at the Washington Traditional School.     Richard is survived by his wife Carol Ann, daughters, Kathy of New York, Deette and Sherry of California.  The family is honoring Richard?s wishes that there be no funeral nor flowers sent.  If you would like to make a donation in his memory, please select a charity of your choice.
