Bob died June 6, 2006 at his home in Paulden suddenly from heart failure.  He was born March 21, 1947 in Minneapolis, Minnesota; the son of Robert and Ruth (Brown) Weatherman.  Bob was 59 years old.   A 20-year veteran of the Los Angeles Police Department (1969-1989), Bob retired as PIII from the Van Nuys Division in the San Fernando Valley.  He joined LAPD after four years of active duty during the Vietnam War conflict, and received an honorable discharge E-5, from the U.S. Navy Submarine Service (1964-1968).  Bob and Bea retired to Paulden in 1993, Bob loved and cared for his ?ponies? and all kinds of animals.  He had a special love for his horses and he never closed the door on any animal or any person needing help.  Until his health declined, he was an active board member of the Paulden Volunteer Fire Department and enjoyed being Santa Claus in the community for several years.  Never one to be idle, his hobbies were restoring and upholstering antique automobiles, wood working and worked for R.W. Turner & Son Pump and Windmill in Chino Valley and Marciante Saddle & Prescott Ranch in Paulden.  He was very active in, and had a strong belief for, giving back to his community. Bob loved sports and particularly enjoyed watching and following Chino Valley High School athletics.   Bob is survived by his loving and caring wife, Bea.  He also leaves behind a much-loved family and mother, Ruth Brown-Qyuantz of Norco, Calif.  His sons,  Robert (Gisele) Weatherman III of Hazelton, Penn.; Kenneth (Jean) Weatherman of Holly Springs, N.C.; and daughter Denise (Daries) Biggerstaff of Raleigh, N.C.  Bob has five grandchildren, Kenneth Weatherman, Katie and Evanne Weatherman, and Daries and Torin Biggerstaff.  He is also survived by his brother, Terry (Tomya) Pemberton of Norco, Calif.; and sisters, Susan Jackson of Whittier, Calif., Carol (Danny) Wagner of Running Springs, Calif., Tracy (Jeff) Evenson of Newman, Calif., Gayle (Don) Anderson of Chester, MD., and Mary Holmes of Robbinsdalem, Minn. Bob is preceded in death by his father, Robert Benton Weatherman Sr.
