Robert Rollins Reaney Sr, 90, passed away Friday March 24, 2023, in Prescott Valley AZ. He was a Las Vegas resident for over 40 years. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church as an ordained elder and was a financial advisor for the church. He sang in the church choir and had a beautiful tenor voice. He was also a part of the Ed Brahams Chorale, Robert Shaw Chorale and he had the opportunity to sing with conductor and composer Virko Baley. He was active in Boy Scouts as an assistant scout master for Troop 120 for 5 years, a Little League coach for 7 years, and had a lifelong love for the LA Dodgers. He worked in mortgage banking for over 30 years and retired as a Regional Vice President. He loved the outdoors and had a great love for his dogs and golf. He loved a good joke and always had one ready to tell. Robert was born May 26, 1932 in Los Angeles California to the late Burdette D. Reaney and Lorna D. Reaney. He is survived by his 3 children Laura L. Reaney and her husband Robin Haywood, Robert R. Reaney Jr and his wife Sue Reaney, and Byron B. Reaney. He has 3 stepchildren Nancy D Myers and her husband Jim Myers, Joyce Y Deyo and his daughter in law Shannon Deyo. He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years Phyllis W Reaney and his stepson Paul M Deyo. He has 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren and his Shih Tzus Tootsie who all loved him dearly and he never missed an opportunity to tell them he loved them. His most famous quote was “many hands make light work” which meant everyone clear the table. He believed in angels and he said “I want to be someone’s angel”.
