Rosemary Ann (Kelley) Bressler, 83, passed away on February 8, 2016 with family by her side, after a long battle with cancer.
Rosemary was born on Nov. 2, 1932 in South Bend, Indiana. She was a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary and the Marine Corps League Auxiliary. She volunteered at the VA Medical Centers in both Denver, CO and Prescott, AZ. She had over 10,000 volunteer hours in and she was selected as Volunteer of the Year. Rosemary retired in 1993 from the Department of Colorado American Legion Auxiliary as Secretary Treasurer. Before she held this position she was a keypunch operator for businesses in Indiana, Illinois, and Colorado. She was also active with the local chapter of the Red Hat Society and Almost Angels. Rosemary loved to travel and was always ready to go when a friend or family member said, "Let's go!" Rosemary especially loved to cruise and had just recently returned from a cruise to the Caribbean with her two daughters.
Rosemary is survived by her children Michael of Chino Valley, AZ, Karen of Centennial, CO, and Sandra (Keith) Miller of Villa Park, IL; as well as two granddaughters Deandra and Amanda Miller; brother John (Hazel) Kelley; sisters Barbara (Burton) Toepp, Sharon Winans, and Mary Helen Vest; sister-in-law Everdene Kelley; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Dean in 1995, her parents William and Estella Kelley, and two brothers William and Thomas.
Rosemary will be remembered as a loving wife, mother, grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. She was always there to help a friend or family member in need. She also had enormous compassion for veterans and their families. Her laugh, smile, and quick wit will be greatly missed. Our family takes comfort in knowing she is at peace and no longer in pain.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Legion Auxiliary Emergency Fund at https://www.alaforveterans.org or to the Marine Corps League Auxiliary Memorial Fund at 8626 Lee Highway, Suite 207, Fairfax, VA 22031-2135.
