Suzanne "Susan" Denise Renaud

Suzanne “Susan” Denise Renaud, 68, was a resident of Prescott Valley, Arizona. Susan was at home when she returned home to her Lord and Savior on August 3, 2020. Born in Tucson, Arizona, she was the seventh child of Luis and Magdelena Renaud.

She is survived by her husband Ronald Allen Hess and her precious daughter Diane Renaud Hayes (Robert Bown) and very dear to her heart grandson, Alec Jordan Bown.

She was preceded in death by her parents as well as her sisters, Estella Bonillas, Magdelena Lupo, Geraldina Renaud and brother, Juan Angel Elias. Susan is survived by her beloved siblings: Jeannine Sanders, Mary Lou Renaud (Cathie Carson), and Peter Renaud (Robert Burgher). Susan is also survived by numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Susan was a retired Registered Nurse.   She enjoyed a stellar career, starting out in pediatric home health and finishing out her career as a wound care specialist. She regarded being a nurse as a most rewarding career. She could put someone at ease within minutes of meeting her. She was loving, caring, not judgmental and a wonderful friend to all who knew her. These traits are what made her a wonderful nurse. All her patients loved her.

Susan enjoyed camping and spending time with her family. Her family, both immediate and extended, were very important to her. She was always available to lend an ear and provide support and “words of wisdom” to whomever needed it.

Susan had a strong relationship with God. She had a very strong faith. That faith inspired those that met her. To quote a friend of hers “She taught her the meaning of faith. Not simply, “I believe”, but, “I know”. It is that faith that carried her through and gave her the greatest strength.

The family would like to thank Kevin Doyle and the team members of Kindred Hospice who provided love, compassion, and support in providing the peace, comfort and dignity throughout the seven months of care provided by the family.

Memorial donations may be made to the Arizona ALS Association Arizona Chapter. They provided many solutions and equipment that provided a life of much appreciated independence, with compassion and heartfelt resolve.
