Victoria Anna Gilliam

Victoria Gilliam died March 26 at Hospice Family Care Crossing Unit in Prescott, Arizona. She was born February 21, 1918 in Phoenix, Arizona                           the daughter of  Anthony & Isabelle (Sutherland) Strope.Victoria was 90 years old.   Victoria married the love of her life Ewell, October 11, 1934. They shared 47 years together before his death November 16, 1981. She was an active member of Sacred Heart Catholic Church. Like so many of her generation she loved to sew, cook and collect recipes. She enjoyed music and dancing. She was proud of her family.   Victoria is survived by her daughter, Victoria Gilliam; grandchildren, Elizabeth, Mary and Kelly;  great grandchildren Sierra, Shayla, Jamison, Keaton and Shonah and her sisters; Dovie Hoehn, of Phoenix and Kathryn Colachis of La Jolla                                                           Preceded also in death by her son, Glenn, October 19, 1994.   Visitation will be Thursday, April 3rd 11:00 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.  at the Arizona Ruffner Wakelin Funeral Home. Corner of Cortez and Carleton.   Final Commendation and farewell will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, April 4th, Greenwood Memory Lawn, 2300 W. Van Buren St. Phoenix, Arizona
