Volney Douglas Matheny

Volney Douglas Matheny age 83 of Prescott died Sunday November 27, 2005 in the Willow Wind Residence in Prescott. Doug was born the son of Thomas and Pauline (Miller) Matheny on January 25, 1922 in Mill Valley, CA. He was U.S. Air Force Veteran having served in World War II. Doug was a member of St. Paul?s Episcopal Church. He enjoyed golfing and flying, he was most proud of being a pilot for over 40 years and having served his country during World War II. Doug is lovingly survived by his daughters Pamela (Richard) Smith of Safford, AZ and Genifer Lundstrom of Prescott, AZ. His grandchildren Matthew, Maha, Maya, Christopher, Lalita, Jaya and Tracy; also by great grandchildren Thomas, Christian, Sparoh, Julia, Darshan, Asha, Antonia, Priya, Sylvanna, Maggie and Jadian. Celebration of Doug?s Life will be 2 p.m. Saturday December 3, 2005 at St. Paul?s Episcopal Church, 2000 Shepherds Lane, Prescott.
