William Phillip Keefe

William P. Keefe, 84, passed away October 9, 2005 in Prescott, AZ.  He was born in Waukegan, IL on August 23, 1921 to Honoria and Edward Keefe.William spent his formative years in Waukegan, IL. Later, while serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II, he attended Wabash College and the University of Norte Dame.  Known as Bill by all, he received his bachelor's degree in Business Administration from Miami University in Oxford, Ohio.  At the conclusion of the war, Bill separated from the U.S. Navy with the rank of LT, j.g.   In 1945, he and his beloved wife, Laura Wallace were married in Crawfordsville, IN. Bill had a long and successful career working for the U.S. Steel Corporation while living in both Cleveland, Ohio and St. Paul, Minnesota. Bill retired from U.S. Steel after more than three decades as a regional sales manager in St. Paul, Minnesota.  Following his retirement, he taught at the College of St. Thomas in St. Paul, Minnesota.  He also worked as a career counseler for Bernard Haldane and Associates in Roseville, MN.   Bill is survived by his wife, Laura of Lake Havasu City, AZ; sons, Edward of Centreville, VA and William of Eagan, MN; daughters, Teresa of Falls Chuch, Va, Patricia of Rancho Mirage, CA, and Marjorie of Gilbert, AZ; and one sister, Marianne of Phoenix, AZ. and his beloved 9 grandchildren.A funeral Mass will be held in his honor at the Sacared Heart Catholic Church, 150 N. Flery, Prescott, AZ on Friday, October 14, 2005 at 10:00 AM.  Later, the family will gather for a special celebration to remember his life, held at 2:00 PM in the clubhouse of The Gardens at Willow Creek, also in Prescott, AZ.In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions to Bill's favorite charity, Soaring Eagle.  Contributions can be arranged by using the web site:  www.soaringeagle.org/hoffmann/.
