Alma Ruth Hembree

Alma Ruth Hembree died Tuesday, March 21, 2006 at Las Fuentes Care Center in Prescott, Arizona. She was born September 12, 1923 in Montgomery, Alabama; the daughter of Elmer C. and Elva Almeda (Wright) Tidwell. Alma was 82 years old. Alma was an active member of the 1st Baptist Church of Montgomery; Rebecca Red Hat Society, Newcomers Club of Montgomery and Air Force Officers Wives. She enjoyed traveling especially to the seashore, being with her family; working for her church or in her garden. Alma was a dedicated volunteer as a gray lady, for the March of Dimes and the visually impaired. Alma was proudest of her husband's service to his country as a Colonel in the United States Air Force; her children and grandchildren and their accomplishments. Alma was a beloved mother to son, Olan (Molly) of Cumming, GA and daughter, Sheila (Herman) Adams of Prescott, AZ; sister to Charles (Jean) Tidwell of Fort Worth, TX; Barbara Harrelll of Fort Worth, TX, sister-in-law to; Juanita Tidwell of Montgomery, Al; grandmother to; Olan, III, James. Philip, Robert, Russell, Melissa and Katherine and great grandmother to;  Logan.
