Obituary

Anne Mary Fenske Lack died on August 17, 2026 in Prescott Valley, Arizona. She was 100 years old. Anne was born on March 2, 1926 in Livingston, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, Annie Beatrice Curtis Fenske and Gustav Herman Fenske; sister, Helen Pauline “Dolly” Fenske; grandmother, Mary Jane Curtis and grandfather, Alfred Curtis; brother, Gustav Michael Fenske and his wife, Joyce; and nephew, Curtis Bartholomew Fenske. She is survived by her husband, Vearl D. Lack; daughter, Kathryn F. DeBoo; granddaughter, Dr. Anne Fennimore; nephew, Matthew Gustav Fenske and his wife, Rachel; step grandsons, Christopher Lack and his wife, Lisa, and Kevin Lack; step granddaughters, Jennifer and Lisa Lack; step great grandchildren, Sierra Lack, Brody Lack, Scarlet Lack, Rowan Owens, Alexa Lynn, Benicio Morales, and Mila Hitz.

Her education in New Jersey included the Livingston and West Orange public schools, Newark School of Fine & Industrial Arts, Morris County school, and Rutgers University. She worked for J&S Tool Company and then Rowe International, Inc. as the International Sales Coordinator, both in New Jersey.

She married Robert P. Fennimore of Denville, New Jersey, who passed away at the age of 55. Anne married Vearl Lack in 1987 and moved to Sandpoint, Idaho. After some 15 years, she and her husband moved to Hurricane, Utah, then to Prescott Valley, Arizona in 2005.

She was an Order of the Eastern Star (OES) Past Matron and Past Grand Representative to New Brunswick, Canada. She was also a member of the New Jersey Power Squadron, a New Jersey EMT, and a Red Cross swimming instructor. She was a licensed commercial pilot, owned her own airplane (Cessna 172), held a seaplane license, and logged aerobatic time.

Anne was a founding member and past president of the Sandpoint, Idaho Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA) Chapter 7 Antique Classic Division, also a member of Chapter 757 and the 99s Women’s Aviation Organization.

Anne was past president of the National Association of Parliamentarians (NAP) Unit, Spokane, Washington and NAP Bradshaw Mountain Unit, Prescott, Arizona.

In addition, she was past president of the General Federation of Women’s Club (GFWC) Sandpoint Civic Club, Idaho and past president of the GFWC The Monday Club, Inc., Prescott, Arizona. She was past parliamentarian for the GFWC Western States Region, GFWC-ID, GFWC-AZ Northern District, and GFWC The Monday Club, Inc.

There will be a celebration of life for Anne on Friday, September 4, 2026 at 1:00 p.m. at the Monday Club Clubhouse, 1306 Stetson Road, Prescott, Arizona.
