Calvin J Monfort

It is with great sadness that the family of Calvin Joseph Monfort announces his passing on Thursday, September 18, 2025. Calvin was born on April 9, 1947 and will be lovingly remembered and forever in the hearts of his wife, Bonnie, his son’s, Calvin Lee (Jeannie), Joseph (Lina), Garrett (Tara) and his stepdaughter Kelly (Roger) Sung. Calvin will also be fondly remembered by his eight loving grandchildren, extended relatives and closest friends.

Calvin was predeceased by his father, Calvin Coolidge Monfort, his mother, Clarice Mae Monfort, his siblings; David, Danny, Billy and his grandson, Calvin James Monfort.

Early in life, Calvin learned the importance of hard work and he instilled that same work ethic in all of his children. He was a man of strong values and he taught us all the importance of family, hard work and always doing what is right. Our father was a true role model who we will always look up to.

Calvin’s most enjoyable hobbies were numerous; fishing, hunting, boating, skiing, tennis, golfing, horseback riding, training hunting dogs, barbequing, gardening, beekeeping and of course watching old westerns with a cocktail in hand.

Rest in peace Dad, you will always be in our minds and you will forever be in our hearts. We love you and we miss you so very much.

Calvin’s Celebration of Life will be held at a later date to be determined.
