Charles Hood Hall 1934 – 2025
Charles Hood Hall, 90, passed away peacefully on March 31, 2025, in Prescott, Arizona, where he had made his home for the past 59 years. He was born in Wagner, Oklahoma, and was raised with the values and work ethic of a rancher and farmer — values that stayed with him throughout his life.
Charles made his living — and his legacy — as a skilled carpenter by trade. He took pride in his craftsmanship, shaping not only wood and homes, but also the lives of those around him through his quiet strength, humility, and steady presence.
He had a deep love for the outdoors and the life Arizona offered him. Whether it was spending time in the pines, hunting, watching cowboy movies, or talking about war history and politics, Charles lived with curiosity, grit, and heart. He was also a man who knew what he liked — a good plate of spicy Mexican food (the hotter the sauce, the better), a big bowl of popcorn, and an ice-cold Dr. Pepper.
But nothing meant more to him than his family. He is survived by his beloved wife, Beverly Hall, with whom he shared nearly 66 years of marriage — just two days shy of their anniversary. Their enduring partnership was a true testament to love, loyalty, and a long life together.
Together they raised two children: Michele Lauchner (Greg) and Kevin Hall. But nothing brought him more happiness than being “Pop.” He was a proud and devoted grandfather to
Tyler (Erinn), Trace, and Katie (Austin), and a joyful great-grandfather to Jack, Logan, and Rhyan. His love for them was constant and true, and his legacy lives on in each of them.
Charles will be remembered for his deep roots and the quiet strength he brought to every day. He lived a good, honest life — and those who knew him will carry his spirit with them always.
A private family gathering will be held in his honor. In remembrance of Charles, the family invites you to enjoy the outdoors, savor your favorite spicy dish, or watch an old western — just a few of the many things he loved.
