Charles Robert (Bobby) Shire, also known as Chuck, passed away into the presence of his Lord on May 29, 2026, at the age of 82. He was born August 28, 1943, in Three Rivers, Michigan.
“I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”
— 2 Timothy 4:7
A celebration of life will be held at a later date.
Chuck was a devoted and amazing husband to his wife, Juli Rae Shire, for almost 35 years.
He was a proud father to Tara Bookspan, Todd, Brett, Bradley, and Kenedee Shire. Father-in-law to Todd Bookspan, Theresa, and Zurianne Shire. Also stepfather to the late Timothy Paden, as well as Gary Paden and Nicholas Swanson.
Chuck was a loving grandfather to 15 grandchildren: Justice, Lacey, Emeline, Giselle, Kaylee, Kaysee, Kameron, Holden, Adrian, Jeremy, Timothy, Dylan, Kaidyn, Keatyn, and Kanyon.
And great-grandfather to Laurie, Alani, and Santiago.
Chuck was preceded in death by his parents, Guy and Berdine Shire, and brothers Jerry and Steven Daniel Shire. He is survived by his sister, Sandra Easton.
As an attorney, businessman, and entrepreneur, Chuck was dedicated to excellence in all of his endeavors, with honesty and integrity as his guiding light. He was respected and loved by his mentors, peers, and associates.
Chuck was a passionate athlete, tennis player, and golfer, where he built lifelong relationships around his love of the game. He spread his passion for life with all who knew him, especially those he loved. He loved the Lord and shared his faith with all who would listen. He felt very blessed to have lived this life and to love his friend’s and family deeply.
