Clifford Jerome Durant Jr.

Clifford Jerome Durant Jr., 72, of Dewey, AZ, passed away suddenly on Monday, December 16, 2024, at his residence. Born on September 5, 1952, in Los Angeles, CA, to Clifford Durant and Marjorie (Harrison) Durant, Cliff was a beloved father, son, brother, grandfather, and uncle.

 Cliff touched the hearts of many with his positive outlook and vibrant personality. A simple man at heart, he found joy in life's little pleasures. He had a passion for computers, games, music, movies, reading, and he loved to explore local eateries, always on the lookout for hidden gems.

 A dedicated professional, Cliff retired as a Safety Manager in the aerospace and aviation industry. He served honorably in the US Army as a helicopter mechanic during the Vietnam War. Among his proudest achievements was developing a program that empowered women to pursue careers as airplane and helicopter mechanics, reflecting his commitment to equality and opportunity.

 Cliff is survived by his daughter, Linda Durant; his mother, Marjorie Anne Durant; his sister, Marlene (Durant) Miner; his brother, Ronald Durant; his grandson, Jeremy Brandenburger; his granddaughter, Jasmine Brandenburger; his nephew, Micheal Miner; and several great nieces. He is preceded in death by his father, Clifford Durant Sr.; his brother, Jerry Durant; and his sister-in-law, Sung Hee (Kwon) Durant.

 Though he may no longer be with us, Cliff’s positive outlook on life, love, and kindness will forever be cherished in our hearts. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him. 

 Cliff’s memorial service and ashes will be placed at Prescott National Cemetery on Friday, January 10, 2025, at 1:00pm, followed by a small gathering in Dewey, AZ, address will be given out at the service. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Saint Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
