Earl Irvin Marders, 81, passed away suddenly from a heart ailment, in Prescott, AZ, on the morning of November 20, 2024.

Earl was born December 5, 1942, in Baltimore City, the first child of Sophie and Earl Thomas Marders. In his youth, he attended St. Peter’s Evangelical Lutheran Church, where he was confirmed at age 14. He was an active member of the Lutheran Leaguers there.

As a young boy, Earl became an avid Boy Scout. From scouting and family trips, he developed his lifelong passion for camping. This love would later lead him to his home in Arizona.

In 1963, Earl joined the Maryland National Guard, where he served as an aircraft radio repairman until 1969, leaving the military as a Staff Sergeant. Earl then went on to work as an electronic technician for Westinghouse and later, Northrup Grumman until he retired to Casa Grande, Az.

In Casa Grande, AZ, Earl fulfilled his dream of living in the Southwest. He met his wife Sherry nearby. The two married in 2011 and made their home in Gilbert, Az. They became members of Redemption Church Gilbert, making lifelong friends there.

Earl and Sherry’s life stayed busy with family, friends, church activities and trips to Cancun, England, Scotland and Israel. In between, there were many memorable camping trips.

In March of 2022, Earl and Sherry moved to Paulden, Az with country life and views of the mountains they loved. There, they found Paulden Christian Fellowship, a community of friends that welcomed them with open arms.

Earl is preceded in death by his father Earl Sr., his mother Sophie, his sister Arlene and his sons Steven and Aaron. He is survived by his wife Sherry, brother Rene, his son Jim, granddaughter Sommer, grandson Aaron James, great grandson Landon and a nephew, nieces and numerous friends. He will be deeply missed by all.
