Edward Vance Leware

Edward Vance Leware passed away on March 11, 2025, at home in Prescott, Arizona. He and his twin sister, Carol Lee. were born in upstate New York in 1939. Edward graduated from SUNY at New Paltz, (New York) in 1965. Soon after he met the love of his life, Linda Anfinsen, at Pines Plains, New York. They moved to Yavapia county in 1970 and stayed married until Linda's death in 2016.Edward was a charismatic, loving, humorous husband, father, grandfather, teacher, antique collector, and storyteller. When he retired from teaching, he opened a fine arts and antique store, Cross Creek Antiques, where he often met with friends and clientele. He was often spotted walking a dog around Lynx Lake and Granite Mountain Lake, playing Upwards and Pinochele, and sailing the high seas of his imagination. His great works remain in storage for future generations to discover.Edward is survived by his children; Katharine Leware, Jennifer Kreit-Wright, and Marc Leware; and his grandchildren Hope Wright, Vivianne Leware, and Maya Sierras-Leware.; as well as nieces and nephews in Florida and along the East Coast. Our appreciation is extended to the caring members of White Rose Hospice of Yavapai and the personnel at Ruffner-Wakelin Funeral in Prescott, Arizona.

He will always be missed and loved.
