Eleanor (Ellie) G. Jacobs

Eleanor (Ellie) G Jacobs October 4, 1931 - Dec. 13, 2008 Ellie was born in Boston, Massachusetts and moved to Prescott 18 years ago. Survived by husband, Samuel Jacobs, two sons, a daughter, three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. She passed peacefully without pain in her sleep after a long battle with cancer. A devoted wife and loving mother, she was married 57 years. Ellie was a woman who loved and gave 100 percent to her family and her community. Her only wish was ?to leave a hole left in the world where she had been because she had made a difference.?  From proverbs 31 ??charm is deceptive and beauty short-lived, but a woman loyal to God has truly earned praise.? During her career she was an associate member Prescott Chamber of Commerce; Past President and Life Member of local chapters of Hadassah; Past President of Congregation Sisterhood; Sunday school teacher for 7 years, Participant in various ?marches? for Alzheimer?s, Mothers March on Birth Defects; Leukemia/Lymphoma Society, Meals on Wheels; the Southwestern Artists Assoc; Member of the Symphony Guild of Prescott, and Patron of Arts locally.
