Gertrude Mackenzie Charter

Gertrude MacKenzie Charter died on Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Hospice Family Care in Prescott, Arizona.  Born on September 22, 1918, in Boston, Massachusetts, she was the daughter of the late William and Hulda (Hanson) MacKenzie.  She was 90 years old. Gertrude loved to sing and did so professionally at one time.  She was also active in amateur theater.  She and her husband, Alvin, were members of Prescott Unitarian Universalist Fellowship.  Gertrude is survived by her loving husband of 61 years, Alvin; daughter and son-in-law, Anne and Robert Cruess, of Amhearst, NH; grandson, Galen Cruess.  She will be greatly missed.
