Harter 'Ben' Schmid

Ben, 77, died Monday, January 7, 2013 at his home in Prescott, Ariz. He was born in Dallas, TX; the son of Ben and Gladys Schmid. He graduated from Texas A&M, owned H. Ben Schmid Engineers and was a cattle rancher before moving to Prescott. Ben was a member of the Prescott Noon Lions, Blue Ridge, Texas, Masonic Lodge, Aztlan Masonic Lodge, Sons of American Revolution, Prescott United Methodist Church, and a former Board Member of Prescott City Advisory & Appeals. He is survived by his wife, Joycelyn, children; Angelyn (John) McIlwain of Plano, TX, Roland (Suzanne) Schmid of Bethany, OK, Krista (Sean) Thomas of New Market, MD, Andra (Bryan) Ray of Graham, TX, 7 grandchildren and 1 nephew.



Service:
A memorial service for Ben will take place at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 18, 2013 at the Prescott United Methodist Church, 505 W. Gurley St. in Prescott. A Masonic burial will be in Dallas, TX.
