Helen Mcgehee

Helen Elizabeth Ewell McGehee died at age 92 on July 13, 2016.  She was born in Ruckersville, Virginia on January 31, 1924 to Mary Louise (Camper) and Nathaniel McGregor Ewell.  Helen earned her B.S. and LL.B from the University of Virginia.  She volunteered extensively in libraries, schools, and as a tutor throughout her life in Africa, Europe, and the U.S.She is preceded in death by Fielding Merwin McGehee, her husband of more than 62 years, a brother, and  a granddaughter.  Helen is survived by four children, Fielding Merwin McGehee III (Rebecca Moore), Louise McGehee Frost (David), Susan McGehee Reinert (Richard), Duncan Ewell McGehee (Nancy Arthur), many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, sisters, a brother, and other close family and friends.
