Janet Allen

Janet was born in Columbus, Georgia, to James Herbert Allen and Olla McOsker Allen. Janet died September 11, 2026, after many delightful years in Prescott.

As a young teen Janet with her family to Tennessee, graduating from Mississippi Women’s University in the 1960s. She moved to Los Angeles and began her working career which covered various areas of interest. Beginning in retail sales, moving into insurance and from there into data processing and systems analysis for the Santa Ana California School District.

In 1984 Janet met Linda Farrer, the woman who would become her wife. Linda and Janet moved to Prescott 1997 where Janet stayed busy managing their rental properties. Later she enjoyed retirement, music, her dance fitness classes, recreational and artistic opportunities available in Prescott. She loved her dogs and all four-legged critters.

Janet is survived by her sister, Patty Thompson of Glendale, CA, her brother Dr. Randy Allen of Richmond, KY and nieces and nephews in various states.
