Jeffrey Gene Sooy

Jeff Sooy was born on April 12, 1965 to Donald Gene Sooy and Sue Kathleen (Proctor) Sooy in Seattle. WA. He departed this earthly life at Dignity Gilbert Mercy hospital on February 7, 2026. At an early age, Sue and Jeff moved to Albuquerque, NM, where Jeff joined the Ronald Robinson family when Ron and Sue married in 1977. The family moved to New York, and later to Aurora, CO, where Jeff graduated high school. He then attended community college in Seattle, WA, and the University of Colorado at Boulder, CO.

Jeff was an adventurer for much of his life, living in Albuquerque, NM, Aurora, CO, Cleveland, OH, and New Orleans, LA, finally settling in Prescott, AZ. His favorite pastime was being at the gym. In Colorado, his workout buddy was a Denver Bronco-one of the “three amigos”. He often coached friends and family members on the fine points of weightlifting, nutrition, and body building. He also was a skilled artist, completing a number of acrylic paintings which hung in his home.

Jeff will be remembered as Jovial, intelligent, loyal, and exceptionally kind. He is survived by step-father Ronald Robinson, a brother and sister, and numerous aunts , uncles, and cousins . He was preceded in death by his mother Sue and father Donald, grandparents and aunt and uncle. A private family commitment service will be held.
