Jeffrey Wayne White

On Sunday, January 19th, Jeffrey Wayne White, age 61, a beloved son, brother, husband, father, uncle, grandfather, and friend passed away in Prescott, Arizona. Other than devoting his time to his family, Jeff’s passion was riding his mountain bike. He loved being close to nature. Unexpectedly, Jeff died suddenly at the side of a well-traveled bike trail near his home while riding. Although it seemed like his life on earth was cut short, we trust that God’s plan was better. Jeff’s last moments were devoted to his greatest outdoor passion.

Jeff was born in Spokane, Washington on November 25th, 1963. He grew up supported by his parents and amongst loving siblings. Jeff graduated from North Central High School in the Class of 1982, then joined the military and served in the Air Force from 1984-1988. He served in various cities and countries around the world including North Dakota, Texas, South Korea, and Japan. Jeff’s wife, Kathy, was an instrumental support to him while raising their young children during his military service and in the years following.

Having moved around the country and around the world, Jeff then settled back in Spokane, his hometown. Upon his return, Jeff discovered his niche for construction and building. He quickly became a well-respected carpenter known for his attention to detail while building custom homes. In 1991, Jeff proudly constructed his family’s own beautiful brick home in Chattaroy and expanded the home’s footprint as his family grew.

Jeff had a gentle spirit. He was a positive person and always looked at the bright side of situations. Jeff was also very comical, and fun loving. God gave him a true gift of forming lasting and meaningful connections without much effort and it was easy for him to interact with all people. He wasn’t hesitant to lend a helping hand and was a true friend to so many.

Jeff is survived by his parents, Gerald White and Lorietta White; his spouse, Kathryn White; his five siblings, and six of his own children and their spouses. Jeff also leaves behind ten grandchildren. He was very devoted to his family.

A memorial service will be held in Spokane on Tuesday, January 28th, at 2:00 pm at Calvary Chapel. In lieu of flowers, please send donations to support St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Jeff will be remembered as a man that was loved, respected, and honored. His family will keep and share memories of him close at hand.
