John Joseph Glover, Jr., 82, of Prescott Valley, Arizona, passed away on November 16, 2025, in Prescott, Arizona.
Born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, John went on to build a life filled with family, service, and connection. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam era. He retired from the U.S. Postal Service, and later enjoyed traveling the country as a commercial truck driver. In recent years, he found great joy working at a local thrift store, where he spent many years doing what he loved: staying active, staying sharp, and connecting with people.
John had a curious mind and a lifelong love of learning. He enjoyed history, trivia, music, and exploring new places. In the early 1970’s, he marched as a soprano bugler in a drum and bugle corps, sparking a passion for music and drum corps that stayed with him throughout his life.
He was a friend to many and is survived by his four daughters - Jennifer, Amanda, Johanne, Julie, eight grandchildren, and four great grandchildren. John was known for his humor, his mischievous streak, his generous heart, and the way he made others feel important and loved. He was also proud of his many years of sobriety and of the people he supported along the way.
A small memorial gathering will be held at Stepping Stones Agencies in Prescott Valley on Sunday, December 7th at 1:00 p.m. All who knew and loved him are welcome.
John will be deeply missed and forever remembered for his warmth, his curiosity, and the unwavering love he shared with the people in his life.
