Kathleen Connell

Born in Dayton, OH, Kathleen attended high school in Basking Ridge, NJ, graduating in 1982. She went on to attend college at Virginia Polytechnic Institute, graduating with a Master's Degree in Electrical Engineering in 1988. Relocating to San Diego, she was employed with General Dynamics from 1988 to 1999. While there, she was part of the team that worked on the navigational systems for the F-16 Tomcat. While still working with GD, she attended the University of San Diego School of Law earning a Juris Doctor degree. She was admitted to the state bar of California in 1999. She moved on to Kyocera International-San Diego and was employed as a patent attorney until her retirement, moving to Prescott Valley in 2022. Kathleen was an accomplished tennis player, and excelled in athletics. She studied and competed in the martial arts, achieving black belt degrees in both Tae Kwon Do and Hapkido. Kathy enjoyed rock climbing and mountain hiking which was one of the main reasons she moved to Prescott Valley for the remainder of her life. She is survived by her sister Patricia Connell(73) of Burlington, KY and her younger brother Richard Connell(56) of Clayton, GA. Always cheerful and upbeat, she will be missed dearly, but her spirit will continue to inspire us. We love you Kathy!
