Kathleen Jones

Kathleen “Kathy” D. Jones, passed away at her home on the Yavapai-Prescott Indian Reservation on July 6, 2025. Born March 19, 1959, to Gibson and Florence Jones, she was a lifelong Prescott resident. She is survived by husband Javier Ramirez, daughter Saree (Krissy Costanzi) James, sister Lenora Jones, nephew Zayden James, niece Spring (Mary) Jones, caregiver Desere Bledsoe, and many other nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers Ernie, Isaac, and Kenneth Jones, sisters Delores and Lorraine Jones, nieces Gynia and Stephanie Jones, and nephews Chuck and Keith Jones.

Kat loved playing and managing softball and was a Washington Redskins fan. She loved animals, especially her horses. She was devoted to family, including as a caregiver to her mother. She worked for her Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe in many capacities, including school bus driver, receptionist, natural resource crew, road crew, and para-archaeologist. She also served on tribal committees. She will be missed by many.

A visitation will be held for Kathy at Ruffner Wakelin Prescott Chapel, 303 S. Cortez St., Prescott, AZ on Friday, July 18th from 5-7 pm. A Funeral Service will be held at the Yavapai-Prescott Indian Tribe, Gathering Center, 1 AZ Walnut Loop., Prescott, AZ on Saturday, July 19th at 11 am with graveside service to follow at the tribe cemetery.
