Keith Russell Francen, 63, of Mayer, Arizona passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, January 29, 2026.
Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota to Philip and Marie Francen, Keith lived his life with a quiet strength, quirky sense of humor, and a deeply kind heart. He was someone who showed love through his actions by working hard, caring deeply, and being present in the moments that mattered most.
Keith found peace and purpose in caring for animals, which was especially evident at Francen Ranch Rescue. His ranch was more than a place—it was a reflection of who he was. Watching Keith care for the land and the animals, and seeing the pride he took in it brought a sense of calm that everyone who visited could feel. He poured his heart into the ranch and the animals there were well loved and cared for because of him.
Above all else, Keith was incredibly proud of his family. He was preceded in death by his father, Philip Francen, of Tulsa, Oklahoma. He is survived by his loving wife, Pam Francen; his mother, Marie Francen; his daughter, Nicole (Francen) Pieper; his son, Eric Francen; his granddaughters, Scarlett and Lola Pieper; his siblings, Mike Francen, Dave Francen, Tom Francen, Kelly Garrison, and Kristina Coleman; as well as his stepsons (Jacob, Pierce, Austin, Gannon, and Quinton), in-laws, and many more family members and friends. His pride in his children and the lives they built was constant and well known.
No public services are planned at this time. Memorial contributions may be made to Francen Ranch Rescue, honoring Keith’s lifelong love of animals.
Keith will be deeply missed and remembered for his kindness, patience, and the quiet, steady way he made the world a better place.
