I was born in March in the town of Kingston, New York, as one of five children. I spent my early years as an only child. I had long blonde curly hair until my father took me for my first haircut before kindergarten. I was baptized at St. Mary's Catholic Church. During my high school years, I actively participated in basketball and football. I recall a particular habit on the football field where, regardless of where I caught the ball, I would run to the end zone, turn around, and then run for the touchdown, often drawing the coach's reprimand. Following graduation, I had married and had a wonderful son Keith. I joined the Kingston Fire Department as a firefighter, where I particularly enjoyed operating the hook and ladder, which is now in a museum. Subsequently, I transitioned to truck driving, a profession I found very fulfilling. After several years in trucking, I became a Teamster, serving as Secretary of the Teamsters Union in San Diego, California, for one year. In 1968, I met my wife, Pat. We traveled extensively across the country in an RV before establishing our home in Arizona, and shared 44 years of marriage until the Lord called her home. She brought two wonderful children into our marriage, Anita and Wayne. Fifteen years ago, I met Kathleen, and we loved each other dearly. She provided exceptional care for me until the end of my time on Earth. To my beloved family and friends, I anticipate our reunion at heaven's gates.
